Mugen Motorsports had filled the void left by Honda's 1992 Formula 1® exit. The 2000 Formula One season marked the final year of Mugen-Honda in Formula 1 before transitioning its engine supply operations fully back to the Honda for the 2001 season.

During the 2000 season, the Mugen-Honda engines (MF-301HE) exclusively powered the Jordan Grand Prix team securing 2 podiums and 6th in World Constructors’ championship. This collection pays homage to the uniforms worn by Mugen engineers during their final Formula 1 season.
