We were able to source an original 1960s Honda grand prix mechanic's hat to create this accurate replica of the very hat worn by mechanics when Honda made their grand prix debut in August 1964 at the Nürburgring. The original 1960s hat was dark red but we have produced this replica in black. Cotton/poly mix with flocked artwork and mild contrast stitching. The unique, period correct, flex-style closure was accurately replicated as well. The interior materials and construction are also spot-on save for the more practical sweat band. We charge flat rate shipping based on weight: < 1 lb. is $5.95, > 1 lb. is $9.95. We ship most orders via the US Postal Service from New Jersey, USA. We primarily use USPS ground or First Class mail. We do however ship some items UPS Ground.
All items ordered are IN STOCK unless otherwise specified. Orders are typically shipped within 2 business days.

RETURN/EXCHANGE POLICY
We provide refunds for the full product purchase price up to 30 days after the original purchase date. Exchanges are accepted up to 60 days after the original purchase date. Refunds are credited back to the original method of payment.
To be eligible for a refund or exchange, the item(s) must be in “as-new” condition, unworn, unwashed and with all the original tags in place. A 25% restocking fee may be applied if the returned item is excessively wrinkled and/or we deem the condition to be less than “as-new”.
The customer bears the cost of freight for returns and exchanges. We do not issue return labels.
EXCHANGE/REFUND INSTRUCTIONS
As long as the item remains in “as-new” condition, with original tags in place, all you need to do for a refund or exchange is to ship your item to:

All clearance items are FINAL SALE. Clearance items are not eligible for exchange or refund.
DEFECTS & INCORRECT SHIPMENTS
For defective merchandise and incorrect shipments, we provide return shipping labels. Defects must be reported before items are worn, washed or tags have been removed to receive full credit. Please contact jessica@hondavintageculture.com if you have received a defective or an incorrect item.

Once your return is received, please allow 5-10 business days for processing refunds and in-stock exchanges. In the event a requested item is unavailable, you will be notified.
Refunds typically appear on your statement 7-10 business days after the refund is initiated. Shipping charges are not refundable.

i’m a hat guy. always have been. i’ve been on this holy grail type search for the best hat for many years. i’ve come close many times. but i have finally found it, the perfect hat.
Shipped to my home wet, and since its black the water line shows.
The hat is uneven. The brim is not lined up properly with the rest of the hat.

Smaller than expected, also really disliked the feel of the green felt That felt is way too soft and pronounced against the other Material has made of. ( looks outta place ) Place the felt with the same material that the hat is made of and I think you got a winner.

We implemented a new lower cost international shipping option but there seems to be some issues. Even though your order may eventually show up and once the package is out of our hands it's no longer our responsibility, we are going to reship your order.
The hat was alright, but was mangled in the packaging... bent bill and creases to fit into a small 8x5x5 box with another hat and shirt.

I do love this hat! It looks great and the quality seems to be really good. I've gotten compliments on it everywhere I've worn it. There is only 1 downside....the size of it. I guess I have a small head, because it's too large for me. I typically wear a 7, 7-1/8 fitted hat and this is quite a bit larger. However, I like this thing so much I added some sizing tape to it so I can still wear it!
Very well made with stitched on logo. Fits well, shouldn't fly off in the wind!
